FieldOps is a real-time field operations mapping platform for emergency responders, drone teams, fire departments, search and rescue, law enforcement, and field operations of all kinds. Pilots drop GPS pins from the aircraft controller and all team members see them live on a shared map.
Three access levels:
Admin — Full access. Create operations, manage settings, drop and delete pins, submit waivers.
User — Drop pins and view map. Cannot delete or access settings.
Viewer — Map view only. See all pins in real time. No account needed.
Livestream: When a pilot starts a MapNova livestream and shares to the department address, the Watch Live button appears automatically for all users.
Drone Compatibility: FieldOps has been tested on DJI controllers. Autel controllers run Android and should be compatible but have not been formally tested. Skydio and other platforms are untested.
iPhone / iPad (Safari): Tap the Share button → Add to Home Screen → Add. Opens full screen like a native app.
Android (Chrome): Tap the three-dot menu → look for "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen." Once installed, the app opens full screen with no address bar.
Android (Firefox): Tap the three-dot menu → Install. The app opens in standalone mode.
Desktop: Look for the install icon in the browser address bar, or check the three-dot menu for "Install FieldOps."
Why install? Installing FieldOps gives you full-screen mode with no browser address bar, faster loading, and offline access to cached maps and data. Recommended for all field devices.
Tip: If the Install button above or "Install app" in the browser menu doesn't appear, try reloading the page. The browser needs to verify the app meets PWA requirements before offering install.

🔥 Wildland Fire
Use the Setup Wizard to enable Fire & Emergency, Fire Related, and Incident Command pin types. Set up your IC structure by dropping pins for Command Post, Staging Area, and Divisions. Share viewer access with mutual aid crews by giving them your viewer link — no PIN needed if you leave viewer access open. Use the parcel overlay to identify property owners near the fire line and track property permissions. Mission Reports document the operation for after-action review.
🔍 Search & Rescue
Enable Search & Rescue pin types via the Setup Wizard. Start by marking the subject's Last Known Position. Create separate operations for each search day or sector. Each team member should log in with their own roster PIN so actions are tracked by name. Use Follow Me to record searcher paths — the green trail shows where you've covered. Drop Clue, Sighting, and Clothing pins as evidence is found. K9 Alert pins mark where search dogs indicate. Use Priority Area pins to mark high-probability zones.
🦌 Deer / Wildlife Recovery
Enable Recovery & Thermal pin types. Create an operation for each search job. Leave the viewer PIN off so you can text your customer a direct link — they open it on their phone and watch the search live. Drop Heat Signature pins on thermal hits as you fly. Mark Confirmed Find when you visually verify the target. Use False Positive to flag checked locations that were ruled out. The parcel overlay shows property boundaries — use the permission tracker to note which landowners you've contacted and whether you have flyover permission. After the search, generate a Recovery Report PDF to give your customer.
🛡️ Tactical / Law Enforcement
Enable Incident Command and relevant pin types. Set up your perimeter with Perimeter pins and Access Points. Mark the Command Post and Staging Area. Use restricted PIN access — set a viewer PIN on the operation so only authorized personnel can view. Drop Personnel pins for team positions. The parcel overlay helps identify property ownership in the area of operations. Use Do Not Enter and Hazard pins to mark restricted zones.
🚨 Mass Casualty Incident
Enable Mass Casualty, Medical, and Incident Command pin types. Use the standard START triage color system: Minor (Green), Delayed (Yellow), Immediate (Red), Deceased (Black). Mark Triage Area and Treatment Area pins to establish zones. Landing Zone pins mark helicopter LZs. Transport Ready pins flag patients ready for transport. Each pin includes GPS coordinates and What3Words for precise location communication.
